Latex Paint Spills

If you spill latex paint on your carpet, don't fear, but also don't hesitate. Quick action is the best way to keep it from becoming permanent. First blot with a clean, absorbent cloth. Always work from the outside in to not spread the paint. Next sponge with cool water and blot again until you've removed as much paint as you can.
Then, mix one teaspoon mild dishwashing detergent in a cup of lukewarm water. Blot the paint with the mixture, using a clean cloth. Let the area dry and vacuum thoroughly.
