Years ago I learned a very cool trick to cleaning electronic component contacts. Over time, these contact points tend to discolor and a good connection is not always possible. This trick works extremely well on computer memory, adapter cards, and anywhere you have a electronic connection. All you need is a pink pencil eraser and a fine brush. Holding the component by the sides, rub the clean pencil eraser across the contacts surface. You will quickly see the color improve and the contact will become shiny again. Now use your brush to gently sweep away any eraser bits. Do not use this tip on processors or on anything with small pins as you could easily bend them.
