If you ever find yourself with a washer overflowing with suds you can make the suds disappear by sprinkling salt on them. The salt with burst the bubbles faster then the agitator can make them, saving you from a big mess. Adding salt before you boil water will also keep the bubbles from the boiling water at bay.
