Here’s a tip to speed up vacuuming. Instead of plugging and unplugging the vacuum as you go from room to room, just add an extension cord or two. Unless you have an enormous house, you only have to find a convenient outlet once per floor. Tie the ends of the extension cord and the vacuum's cord together before connecting to help them not pull apart.
