Microfiber, also called microfiber suede, is a great fabric for sofas and chairs. It is very stain resistant and durable. Having two hairy pets, I can also say that it doesn't collect pet hair like standard furniture fabric. It does however collect water rings from our dog's drool. The best way we have found to clean it is with a baby wipe. Baby wipes take the water ring stains out, even those left from other cleaning products. This also works for fresh spills.
