I love sauerkraut, onions, garlic...just about everything with a strong smell. I have also found that my mom's cabbage rolls taste even better the second day. I always store them, and all other left-overs, in plastic containers that I have saved from many grocery purchases. One little problem, all of these foods leave their smell behind even after going through the dishwasher. Simple cure for the lingering odor...tomato juice. Yep, just pour a little tomato juice into the container, seal, and shake it until evenly coated. Now, with a clean sponge, work the tomato juice over every surface. Finally, rinse well and clean as usual. The smells should be a distant memory.
