I have a number of small trash cans around my home. I always use bags or liners in them. I don't know why, but every week one or more of the bags leak. When I change the bag...look out! The smell is awful. A quick tip to reducing trash can odors and keeping small leaks from turning into nasty messes is to pour a little baking soda or borax into the bottom of the cans. Borax works best if you experience wet leaks, baking soda is great for bad odors.
