Fruit Fly Problem?

Many people have complained about finding what they call fruit flies in their kitchen. These little pests are more often not carried in on your fruit, but are instead "drain flies." If you have a drain in a bar, an unpopular side to your double sink, or any drain in your kitchen that does not get daily use, these little guys will breed, breed, breed. To remove these pests, or to keep them from showing up in the first place, pour a cup of bleach down the drain. This kills their larva and removes their food source. If you are already infested, continue the treatment on a daily basis until you no longer see any signs of them. If you have a septic system, make sure that the amount of bleach entering the system does not compromise the natural enzmes that you need to keep the system in top shape. Consult your owners manual.
